Who We Are

More Than a
Tournament

NXTGEN CUP is an elite youth football organisation based in Chisinau, Moldova. We create professional tournament series for young players aged U7–U15, offering a real competitive experience modelled on elite European standards.

Each edition grows the brand, the community, and the reach — connecting clubs and academies from Moldova and across Europe on a single platform.

A Tournament Series

NXTGEN CUP is not a one-time event. It is a growing calendar of tournaments — each edition with higher standards, more clubs, and a wider international reach.

Professional Stage

Group stage, knockout rounds, official match protocols. Young players compete under conditions that mirror real professional football from day one.

European Vision

Inspired by the best youth European tournaments, NXTGEN CUP brings that culture to Moldova and Central/Eastern Europe — starting local, growing global.

Who We Are

"Messi from Moldova"

Born in Chisinau in 1985, Denis Calincov became Moldova's defining football talent. At 16, he scored 5 goals at UEFA EURO U17 in Denmark — earning a contract with RSC Anderlecht and becoming the first Moldovan in the club's history. He spent a decade in the Eredivisie across Heerenveen, Heracles and Cambuur, earning 20 senior caps for Moldova.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

From the concept behind the tournament to how your club can get involved — all your questions answered here.

NXTGEN CUP is an international youth football tournament series (U7–U15) designed to give young players a genuine professional competition experience — premier venues, structured formats, real matchday atmosphere, and meaningful recognition. It is a growing platform, not a one-off event.
NXTGEN CUP was founded by Denis Calincov — a professional footballer who played for Anderlecht, Heerenveen, and the Moldovan national team. Having experienced elite European youth football firsthand, Denis created NXTGEN CUP to bring that same standard of competition, organisation, and player development to Moldova and the wider region.
Any youth football club or academy with teams in the U7–U15 age range. Both domestic and international clubs are welcome. NXTGEN CUP is built to be inclusive — whether you are a grassroots team or a professional academy, the tournament provides the same quality experience for every participant.
NXTGEN CUP covers U7 through U15, with each category playing an age-appropriate format — adapted pitch sizes, match durations, ball sizes, and squad numbers. Every age group receives the same level of organisation, branding, and recognition. The number of categories per edition grows as the tournament expands.
Three things set NXTGEN CUP apart: professional-grade venues (UEFA-standard facilities), credibility from a real career path (founded by a player who reached the highest levels of European football), and a genuine series vision — this is not a single local event, but the foundation of a long-term youth football platform for the region.
Teams compete in a group stage followed by knockout rounds. Every team is guaranteed a minimum number of matches, ensuring the trip is worth it regardless of results. The exact format (team size, match length, group size) is defined per age category in the official tournament regulations.
All participants receive medals. Winners and runners-up receive trophies. A Best Player per team award is given at each edition, ensuring every team has a player recognized at the closing ceremony. Additional individual awards may be introduced in future editions.
NXTGEN CUP editions are hosted at premier football venues — facilities that meet professional standards for pitch quality, spectator areas, and infrastructure. The venue for the inaugural edition will be announced soon. Future editions will expand to other cities and countries.
Use the registration form on this page or contact us directly via email. Spots are limited per edition to maintain tournament quality. Early registration is strongly recommended. Each participating team will receive a confirmation and full information pack once their spot is secured.
Yes — that is the vision. NXTGEN CUP is designed to grow into a multi-city, multi-country series across Eastern Europe and beyond. The goal is to bring the same elite youth tournament experience to more communities, more age groups, and ultimately create a recognised regional circuit for youth football development.
